Five reasons why Christ’s ascension matters to us today:
1) Jesus returned to the Father (John 16:28, 20:17)
2) Jesus took his place on the throne (Daniel 7:13-14; Rev 3:21)
3) Jesus poured out the Holy Spirit (John 14:16, 16:7; Acts 2:33)
4) Jesus prays for us (Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1)
5) Jesus will come again (John 14:1-3; Acts 1:11)
