So I am at the library today checking out John Steinbeck’s The Grapes of Wrath, and the librarian at the counter tells me, “I think we have this on video if you would rather see the movie.”

Wow! That’s really ironic! And, I agree–if I were a librarian trainer, I think that would be top on my list of sentences that should never come out of their mouths.
Dana – Yes, ironic is definitely the word that comes to mind!
It comes from having a library that has a lot of resources.
She probably took one look at you in your “vacation state” and figured “He’s not a reader”!
Tom – Ha! I forgot about my vacation beard. Maybe that was it! And yes, I am grateful to have a library with so many resources to choose from.
