All the Candidates’ Tax Returns
Gov. Palin released her 2006 and 2007 tax returns last week. Paul Caron over at the TaxProf compiles the main information from all four candidates onto one handy chart.
There seems to be a fairly wide spectrum in both reported income and charitable giving.

From the numbers, I presume that Palin, Obama, and Biden don’t hold that a 10% tithe is biblical or necessary.
Tom – It would appear that way. I don’t think Biden’s church stresses tithing, but I believe both Palin’s and Obama’s churches do. On the other hand, I don’t think these are joint returns. It could be they are shifting more of their charitable giving through their spouses’ returns. It is hard to say with the data given.
I am just glad that I am not required to release my tax returns for everyone to see. Not that there would be anything bad there. I just like my privacy. One more reason not to run for public office.
