Whilst ‘Believer’s’ (or ‘Credo-‘) Baptism should not be thought of as exclusively ‘Adult’ Baptism, I think this clip, which I remember seeing linked to blogs last year, should remind us that Baptism is to be approached seriously, and only when the candidate can demonstrate clearly that they understand the significance and solemnity of their public profession of personal faith in Christ. I don’t think that was happening here…….
Kenneth – I agree. I thought the pastor did a good job in handling the situation. I liked his comment: “That’s a first, and that will also be the last!”
