Objective:
To serve the local church as pastor by providing:
1) godly spiritual leadership for the church,
2) faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word, and
3) loving pastoral care for God’s people.
Personal Statement:
My main strengths as a pastor are in the areas of leadership, preaching and pastoral care. I love the church of Jesus Christ and desire to see the church strengthened as people grow in their faith. I love studying God’s Word in an attitude of prayer in preparing to speak his Word to others. God has gifted me to teach his Word simply and clearly, and I enjoy sharing his Word with others. I enjoy people and feel comfortable relating to people from all walks of life. God has given me a compassionate heart and the ability to empathize with others. I feel privileged to minister to others through teaching, visitation, evangelism and counseling.
I am an energetic, enthusiastic person with a love for life and for people. I love the Lord and am grateful for all that He has done for me. I am very much a family man and value spending time with my wife and children. I enjoy reading, music and sports (basketball, softball and tennis). I work hard at what I do and set high standards for myself.
