Beg to differ but I have seen a lot of fawns also as well as adult deer alive & or dead. Some of them do have longer tails than others, remember every human is different thank God & it is the same in the animal world. Weather or not it is alive is the question & deer if living close to people will become tame so that is not important. Wish the people who posted it in the first place would just give us an update.

I have seen countless fawns through the years and NEVER have I seen one with a long tail. The back legs and feet are not what you would find on a REAL live fawn. If this were a REAL live fawn that just came out of the woods I can assure you it would not be calm, cool and collected as it seems in the pictures. No way is this REAL!

Helen - You may be right. It is hard to tell from the angle in the photographs. I also wish there were more information on this one!

Take a good look at both pictures and notice the differences in
the doe in each one. Posed? I don't think so as the ears are
different in each photo as are its fron't legs. See how many differences you can find. Sure wish the person who took the photos
would let us all know what has happened for sure & not just second
hand news.

D. Wood - Neat story. It is amazing what God has built into some animals.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit- I had a male beagle that looked EXACTLY like this one that raised an orphaned 3 week old kitten. Our beagle cleaned, snuggled, and actually let the kitten suckle on him. Without his care, I doubt the kitten, now 12 years old, would have survived.

Note the clock. The fawn comes through the door before the cat.

Bev - I am still undecided on this one. But the video of the fawn coming through the doggie door certainly shows it is possible. Some people are claiming the fawn in the video is actually a pet.
