I used to wait for this to come on TV once a year even more than the Wizard of Oz. To my poor husband's dismay I know every word of every song, and can do most of the dialogue too. On our long 13 hour drive up to Quebec for our honeymoon, I offered to sing the entire movie for him (no tape player in the car/no radio stations in the boonies). He was less than enthusiastic. On the flip side, I'd be tempted to do a Fairy Godfather version along the lines of $250 million a day to Iraq that our country doesn't actually have (and has to borrow) combined with tax cuts for the rich as an equally impossible fairy tale but somehow it's actually happening...
