I remember watching part of George Lucas' 1971 film THX-1138 on TV last year. I had never seen it before and was amazed at how good the special effects were for 1971 - until I found out that he had updated the film with all new special effects just a couple yars ago! Still, I really enjoy Star Trek: TOS and would enjoy seeing some of those classic episodes with the updated effects.

Don't call it .... "Star Trek: The Original Series " if you are going to ...
“1960s special effects have been replaced with 21st century computer-generated imagery to give new depth and atmosphere to various elements..." edit it.

What's next "Live" news that has been "digitally enhanced"?
History that has been "corrected"?
Accurate true-life stories with "enriched" scenes?

No wonder we have trouble identifying "TRUTH!"
